"What brought me into this fellowship is deeply rooted in my background in architecture and my passion for design as a problem-solving tool. As an architect, I’ve always been fascinated by the intersection of design and human experiences—how spaces, tools, and systems can shape behavior and enhance functionality. My journey into education was sparked by my belief that innovative design approaches can create significant impact in non-traditional fields, like education, where engagement and inclusion are critical.
Through my travels and experiences, I gained a broader perspective on how systems function and how design can be leveraged to solve challenges in diverse settings. My architectural thesis on ""Ephemeralism in the case of Koovagam"" further nurtured my curiosity about how environments and systems can adapt to human needs. Transitioning from architectural spaces to educational environments allowed me to apply my design mindset to creating inclusive learning spaces for all students, particularly those with neurodiverse needs."

Why do I do what I do?
I’m driven by the desire to create environments where design serves as a vehicle for social change. I believe in the power of design to solve complex challenges, especially in fields like education, where inclusivity and engagement are crucial. By using design as my main tool, I hope to inspire social innovation and foster environments that support equitable learning for all.

My vision for myself
My long-term vision is to keep exploring and innovating new ideas for social impact, continually seeking ways to use design as a tool for positive change. Whether in education or other fields, I aim to develop solutions that address real-world problems and drive meaningful, lasting change.

I envision a world where every child, regardless of their background or abilities, has access to inclusive and equitable education. I aspire for an educational landscape that celebrates diversity, fosters creativity, and nurtures critical thinking skills. My goal is to empower neurodiverse students, ensuring they receive the resources and support they need to thrive academically and socially. Ultimately, I want to see communities actively engaged in their children’s education, creating a ripple effect that promotes social cohesion and a culture of lifelong learning.
My approach centers on several key strategies
Design Thinking: I leverage design thinking principles to create innovative, user-centered solutions tailored to the unique needs of neurodiverse students. This includes developing resource toolkits and engagement plans that can be implemented in classrooms.
Collaboration with Stakeholders: I believe in the power of collaboration among educators, parents, and community members. By working together, we can share insights, resources, and best practices to create a supportive network that uplifts all students.
Continuous Learning and Adaptation: I am committed to continuous improvement, regularly assessing the impact of my initiatives and adapting them based on feedback from students and educators. This ensures that the strategies we implement are effective and relevant.
Empowering Students: My focus is on fostering student agency, encouraging children to take ownership of their learning and challenges. By empowering them to be problem solvers, we cultivate a generation of leaders who can contribute positively to society.
Creating Inclusive Spaces: I aim to develop inclusive and stimulating learning environments that cater to diverse needs, allowing every student to feel valued and engaged.
