Bhumi – an Unforgettable Journey
I love engaging myself in different genre activities, and that’s the push for my volunteering journey. This amazing journey started with attending an annual day function that Bhumi conducted as a volunteer. From there I started teaching in the Jhandewalan ashram. I had never interacted with so many girls at once. Each day with them was a blessing to me as I felt so overwhelmed being part of this. Educating the girls in both academic and general perspective gave me a sense of pride and I was happy about it. I was given responsibility of as a HR coordinator of the Science project. I have been more inclined towards teaching, but the responsibility expanded my area of impact and I explored it as much as I could. In short, the journey is an unforgettable one and will be one of the most precious part of my life.

I will never be able to sum up my experience in Bhumi as I will be short of words while expressing. Bhumi came into life the time I had nowhere to contribute my time, skill and energies. It gave me the identity and confidence to bring my knowledge into use and create something beautiful. As I got involved in different campaigns and activities, I got recognized by many, be it at centres, at my office, at home. The time I spent gave so much pleasure that till today the impact brings positivity to my life and people around me.
A memorable day in Bhumi
It was a usual day and I was taking a class. After the orphanage has organized a function in their premises. Once the class got over, all girls started getting ready and asked me to stay to put some good eye liner. So, from teacher I suddenly became the makeup and costume artist for them that day 😀 It was fun, and they all looked so pretty.
I am so thankful to the people of Bhumi for always supporting, encouraging and motivating me.
