Teachers Express, an annual event to celebrate teachers for their tireless effort and hardwork was held in Chennai on January 28. This year, Over 130 teachers attended the event which was conducted by the Bhumi Fellowship team with the help of 40 volunteers.
The teachers got a chance to experience different cultures of India, and indulge in fun and diverse activities like sports, games and food. Southern culture was depicted by “Nammude Oor Thiruvizha”, Northern culture was depicted by “Uttar Ka Utsav”, Eastern culture by “Megh O Roudra” and Western culture by “Rangini Bhumi”.
It was a memorable event for the teachers, with some of them mentioning that the space brought out their inner child and it was a stressbuster. Teachers Express was initiated to enable teachers to express themselves, connect with each other and for Bhumi to celebrate their efforts.
