Bhumi’s Ignite – School Transformation Program recently conducted STEM Fest 2023, a platform for students to showcase their potential in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) on 26th February, 2023. The event witnessed a gathering of students, parents, educators, educational institutions, corporates, supporters, and STEM professionals.
Dr. M. Jayaprakasan, CEO of Naan Mudhalvan Skill Initiative, Tamil Nadu Skill Development Corporation, Government of Tamil Nadu, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The team of the sponsors and other dignitaries were also present as guests of Honour. More than 200 students showcased a wide range of STEM projects, including innovative science models, creative models made out of waste materials, rangoli on science topics, and more.
The live science stall had an array of science models on display, activities, and demonstrations. The day was not only filled with learning but also with fun games and entertainment. Traditional dance and MIME performances on science themes, a science show, program videos, and even a quiz corner kept the attendees engaged throughout the day.
The event began with the Tamizh Thai Vazhthu, followed by guest speeches and prize distributions. The event concluded with the playing of the National Anthem. Bhumi would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the sponsors, including OTIS, Qualcomm, and iOPEX, without whose support, the event would not have been possible. Bhumi would also like to thank all the volunteers and everyone who supported the event, contributing to its success.
STEM Fest provided a platform for students to showcase their creativity, innovation, and knowledge in STEM fields, encouraging them to pursue careers in these fields. With a focus on practical application, STEM Fest aimed to instill a love for learning and foster critical thinking skills. Bhumi’s Ignite – School Transformation Program intends to continue providing such opportunities to students, inspiring them to pursue their dreams and shape their future.
