From Notorious Kid to Social Catalyst
Ritika’s journey took a turn during her college days. A notorious kid who embraced the thrill of Inter College fests, she soon realized the importance of channeling her energy into something meaningful.
A chance encounter with a Bhumi orientation poster changed everything. Intrigued, Ritika attended the orientation and discovered a world where her passion for social work could flourish. Little did she know, this would mark the beginning of a transformative journey since august 2019.
Surfing Through Unconventional Waters
Taking charge of the Refresh team, Ritika’s commitment to Bhumi intensified during the COVID era. As the Refresh Lead (fundraising & talent nurturing initiative of Bhumi), she became an indispensable part of the Bhumi family.
During a lull in her weekends, Ritika discovered her love for Sudoku and a penchant for unconventional food combinations, like the surprising duo of gulab jamun and ketchup. Life took an unexpected yet fulfilling turn, and she found herself immersed in a world of social work, gratitude, and unexpected laughter.

Ritika’s adventurous spirit shines through her escapades, from donning a black belt in karate to an unforgettable helicopter ride to Kedarnath. An ex-army pilot imparted life lessons and steered Ritika through an exhilarating journey, leaving an indelible mark on her memory.

Despite her demanding role at a leading insurtech startup, Ritika effortlessly balances her professional commitments with her unwavering dedication to Bhumi. Her mother stands as her pillar of strength, instilling values that resonate in her every endeavor.
Bhumi’s Impact Beyond Education
Ritika’s journey reached a pinnacle during Nakshatra 2022 in Kolkata, an event she orchestrated from scratch. Witnessing over 400 kids and 150 volunteers come together, she experienced the emotional high of success and community building.
As a JTW (Joy To the World initiative) Coordinator, Ritika received a heart-warming farewell from a shelter home in Bangalore. The kids presented her with a thank you card, expressing their gratitude and pleading for her return. These moments define Ritika’s Bhumi experience.

Looking ahead, Ritika envisions Bhumi expanding its footprint to smaller cities like Ujjain and Indore. Her dream is for Bhumi to weave its magic in every nook and cranny, ensuring no child is left untouched by the transformative power of education.
