Since joining Bhumi in 2022, Ankit has dedicated himself to making a positive difference in his community, particularly in his hometown of Patna, where he serves as the Chapter Support Team (CST) leader. His journey highlights how passion and purpose can transform not only the lives of others but also the individual driving the change.

From Student to Changemaker

Ankit’s journey with Bhumi began as a student, motivated by a desire to give back to his community. Growing up in Patna, where he also pursued his bachelor’s degree at Patna Science College, he realized the potential he had to make an impact. In 2022, he found his calling with Bhumi, a platform that aligned with his values and goals. “Bhumi, for me, is the place to bring change,” he shares, explaining how volunteering introduced him to a world where people uplift each other, filling gaps in society one small step at a time.

What started as a monthly animal welfare awareness campaign quickly turned into a more intensive schedule, with Ankit soon organizing weekly events involving more and more enthusiastic volunteers. Through Bhumi, Ankit found a space where he could both act on his passion for social issues and develop his skills, including leadership, communication, and teamwork. His rise to the CST role has been a rewarding challenge, where he leads with an empathetic and inclusive approach, encouraging every volunteer to share their unique strengths.

Skills and Confidence through Service

Ankit’s journey is not only one of giving but also one of growth. His time at Bhumi has helped him develop invaluable skills both professionally and personally. Organizing frequent events, coordinating with a large number of volunteers, and managing logistics honed his organizational skills, while his interactions with diverse groups improved his interpersonal and communication abilities. Today, Ankit stands as a confident leader who knows how to rally people around a cause, balancing compassion with direction.

He credits much of his personal and professional growth to the support of his friends and Bhumi mentors, who have been a source of guidance and encouragement through life’s ups and downs. “Having people who believe in you and your cause is empowering,” Ankit remarks, emphasizing how this support network has been instrumental in his journey. He feels that every event he organizes and every life he touches brings him one step closer to his vision of a world where individuals actively uplift one another, bridging societal divides.

Outside of his volunteering and studies, Ankit is an avid traveler and a music enthusiast who enjoys singing and playing the guitar. His love for exploration drives him to seek out thrilling adventures, with several destinations and experiences on his bucket list. A self-proclaimed foodie, Ankit admits he has a quirky taste for Panipuri with cold drink, a unique combination that’s earned him a few laughs among friends. But when it comes to comfort food, nothing beats a hearty serving of Biryani – a dish he considers his go-to for any occasion.
