Job Title: Manager – Programme and Impact
Location: Chennai
Job Nature: Permanent Full-time
The Manager will be responsible for the overall management of Bhumi’s Ignite School Transformation Programme. He/she will also engage with the core team in long term planning and structural improvements.
Primary Responsibilities include:
- Reaching out and building relationships with current and prospective partner organizations
- Build a strong culture of ownership towards impactful project delivery among all stakeholders
- Oversee the efficient and effective day-to-day operation and delivery of the project
- Monitoring quality of programme implementation, providing feedback to team members and partners
- Track, follow up and report on the timely implementation of the goals for the project
- Provide support to the teachers to envision the goals for their classes/schools and the required guidance to meet the same
- Implementing assessment frameworks for teachers to enable their own development and thus enhancing quality of deployment
- Ensuring documentation, analysis and reporting of programme implementation
- Build structures, systems to support the execution of the projects in the best possible manner with a focus on continuous learning, improvement and rapid growth
- Work in unison with Programme Director towards achieving programme and organisational goals
- Should be able to manage the team and groom leaders for the future
Preferred Education Qualification / Experience:
- Minimum two years experience in planning and execution of training and supporting trainers (Preferred)
- Any Graduate or post-graduate
- Minimum two years experience in managing a team
- Teaching, volunteering experience can be helpful
- Project coordination experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Good people engagement, networking and listening skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Tamil.
- Good computer knowledge and MS Office skills.
- Emotional maturity to empathize with the perspectives/needs of teachers/facilitators and team members
- Highly resourceful team-player, who is also self-driven
- Forward looking thinker, who actively seeks opportunities and proposes solutions
Other Information:
- Scope: Full time
- Remuneration: Rs.3,60,000 –5,40,000 per annum (based on experience)
- Expected Joining Date: August 2017
- Location: Chennai
- Minimum commitment: Two years
