Meet Suleman, a young man from a small village in the district of Beed, Maharashtra, who is determined to succeed against all odds. He is the first generation educated member in his family and the first one to clear the 10th standard. Suleman hails from a family of farmers, with his father and elder brothers earning an income of about Rs 60,000 per year. They lead a simple life, where most of what they earn goes back into farming and buying materials for the farm. With this meager income, his parents could not even afford to think about education, let alone support their son’s academic pursuits.
Despite the financial challenges that his family faced, Suleman was determined to pursue his academic dreams. He passed his 12th-grade exams in first class, something which was unheard of in his family. His determination to succeed was unwavering, and he was willing to go to any lengths to make his dream of pursuing higher education a reality. Bhumi’s help with the Rs 40,000 scholarship was extremely helpful to Suleman in enrolling for his degree. He also took a loan for the remaining fees.
Suleman is currently pursuing his Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy and is in his first year. He is determined to complete his degree and join a pharmaceutical manufacturing company or venture into the teaching field. His journey has been an inspiration to those around him, and he hopes to motivate other children from his village to follow in his footsteps.
